Mr Army man

Last week I got Brody this set of army gear. It's so real. When he puts it on, he goes into character immediately. He's going thru a phase right now where he loves to pretend he's someone else. I got him an army guy outfit for Halloween and he is so funny in it. I also got him a Cats apron (the FW baseball team) to help me cook. The first time he put it on, he kept saying "I need to smash something because that's what fesh's do" "I'm a fesh, let me smash something" He kept saying Chef backwards. It was hilarious.

Another HILARIOUS story this kid came up with - We are reading the childrens Bible. And the first night was obviously Adam and Eve. He proceeded to tell me the story he remembers from church. The story was pretty accurate, he mentioned Adam and Eve and the "mean 'ol devil" being a snake. Well Adam and Eve ate the apple God said not to eat. So God told them "they had to crawl on their bellies the rest of their lives" WOW Where does he come up with it?? It was sooo funny.

We are all doing ok. We're on the mend. Braden was sick last week, then David got sick Thursday. I went out of town w/my mom Friday, came back sick Sunday. Then Brody threw up several times last night!! He seems to be much better today. Doesnt have much of an appetite though. Hopefully I'll be feeling better soon too, I hate feeling like this!!

After a big sneeze

Labor day!

For Labor Day we went to Mikki and Jia's house. Bradens first real swim. We put him under water and he did really good! Brody hit golf balls with Jia and Caleb.

We have our first tooth!!!

Well, after 3 months of speculating, we finally have our first tooth!! We knew it was coming b/c we could see it under the skin. And he's been SCREAMING (more so) for days now. He's had a cold to top it off. I've been pulling my hair out by the end of the day. I feel like we're back in the first few months where this is all he did. Target, screaming. Central Market, screaming. Car ride stuck in construction late to pick Brody up - screaming, well until RIGHT BEFORE I pulled into the school parking lot, then he fell asleep and I had to wake him!!

Luckily, me and some girls from church are going to a girls ranch in Abilene this weekend for a Mommy's getaway!! WOOHOO

Brody is doing wonderfully in school. We are having some problems talking but its getting better. BUT there were 3 cases of swine flu today so I'm really really trying to trust God and pray about it.

Me, my mom, Brody and Braden went to a local farm to pick peas. It was so much fun!! See all the pics below...
